Camper Van Build Technician

We are looking for a seasoned camper van builder who can manage our build schedule and quality control in Los Angeles, California.

We are currently looking to add a camper van build technician to our team! This is a unique position for a cabinet maker who has high standards of quality and management experience.

Nook has a fun work atmosphere and we invest in our staff. Our small passionate team is dedicated to making the most versatile and highest quality luxury Sprinter camper vans on the market, including the Nook and Nook+ for the 144” and 170” chassis, respectively.

Expectations

  • Detail-oriented – able to: make aesthetic design decisions, think through a process prior to execution, avoid careless behavior

  • Self-starter – take initiative in progressive steps on each project

  • Manage schedule

  • Maintain a safe/clean workspace

  • Project a friendly, kind, and positive attitude

  • Comfortable with client interaction 

  •  Knowledge of general construction practices

  •  Experience safely operating hand tools, and power tools 

  •  Able to read construction/fabrication plans

  •  Comfortable with asking questions and learning from mistakes

Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • fabricate furniture and electrical/mechanical systems

  • quality control and testing of systems

​Skills and Knowledge

  • 2-yrs Woodworking and finishing particularly in cabinet making.

  • 2-yrs Prior camper van construction and management experience.

  • Broad knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. 

  • Experience in digital fabrication/design is a plus.

  • Automotive mechanical experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week, Monday-Friday

  • Supplemental overtime pay
