  • The Nook and Nook+ are Diesel vans built on a Mercedes Sprinter frame. We collaborate with Maxwell Vehicles for our electric camper van, the eNook, which is built inside a modified Ram ProMaster.

  • New projects should typically be booked 2-5 months before the start date. From there, the build process takes 8 -18 weeks (depending on how complex the build is). A deposit is required to secure your spot in the queue.

  • We can accommodate Sprinters from 2007-on for our diesel models and any available year of ProMaster for the electric models. These vans must have all interior components removed before arrival at our shop.

  • Clients will need to supply their own empty Mercedes Benz Sprinter or Ram ProMaster. We're happy to help with finding a van through our dealer network.

  • For vans, we can accommodate delivery out of state. This helps for most tax purposes.

    For our furniture, we currently only offer pick-up from our shop.

  • Our build process usually takes 8-18 weeks. Depending on the complexity of the build, it could take longer.

  • We have foundational components that stay the same with each van build, however, we offer a wide variety of options and design services to create a build that is custom to you..

  • We're located right in the heart of West Hollywood, Los Angeles at the intersection of La Cienega Blvd and Santa Monica Blvd (951 N La Cienega Blvd, 90069).

  • We are a dealer for multiple van build/overland product companies. We do not stock their items, but can have items drop-shipped to you at any time. Feel free to contact us if you have an order question.

  • Yes! We provide a user guide with each new build. Additionally, we offer a complete tutorial of the van at pick-up which usually takes a few hours.

  • Yes, we specialize in installing efficient solar power systems to ensure you have sustainable energy while on the road. We'll work with you to determine the best setup for your needs.

  • Thee really isn’t a difference! Class B motorhomes are built within an existing van shell. The Mercedes Sprinter van is an example of ClassB RV that Nook converts to a “camper van,” a less formal phrase that often describes a converted Class B van. As a result, a Sprinter van is one type of Class B RV, and both are synonymous with the term “camper van.:

  • We understand that a van conversion is a significant investment. While we don't provide direct financing, we work with Mercedes dealers to make the build and the vehicle one loan from Mercedes. We can also facilitate acquiring a 20-yr RV loan.

  • Our relationship with clients doesn't end once we hand over the keys. We offer ongoing support for any questions or concerns you might have about your van, its features, or general van life advice. We also provide a detailed user guide with each build and have online resources for reference as well.

  • Choosing the right van model depends on several factors, including how many people will be traveling, the type of travel you plan to do, and your budget. Our team can consult with you to help determine the best model for your custom build.

  • Absolutely! We understand that pets are part of the family, and we can incorporate pet-friendly features such as built-in food and water bowls, pet beds, and even temperature-controlled areas to keep them comfortable.

  • Sustainability is a core value for us. We aim to preserve our planet's exploration-worthy destinations. This is why we prioritize eco-friendly practices and conscientiously evaluate how our vans interact with the environment and users. We use eco-friendly/recycled materials whenever possible, offer no-VOC finishes, and design our builds to be as energy-efficient as possible.

  • Our design process is collaborative and starts with a consultation to understand your vision and needs. Once we recieve a reservation deposit we place you within our build schedule and work with you in providing varying options and layouts within our modular design. We are happy to work on accommodating requests outside of our standard layouts and options.

  • Some of our most requested features include our Utility Spa (which contains full bathroom functionality), solar power systems, custom storage solutions, large lithium battery systems, water filtration systems, and unique finishes.

  • Popular Nook Van upgrades include solar panels, large capacity lithium batteries, security systems and exterior gear.

  • Yes, we specialize in creating off-grid solutions. Every van comes standard with solar,48v lithium power system, and alternator charging. All systems, including heating, air-conditioning work without being plugged into shore power.

  • While we specialize in Mercedes Sprinter vans, we are open to discussing conversions for other van types as long as they meet our requirements for space and durability. Contact us to see if we can accommodate your vehicle.

  • Electric camper vans offer several benefits, including reduced environmental impact, lower running costs, and more interior space. They are also quieter, faster, and easier to drive than traditional diesel models.

  • We provide a comprehensive maintenance guide with every Nook build, covering essential upkeep and troubleshooting for both the van and the installed systems. We also offer ongoing support and can recommend service providers.

  • Absolutely! Nook's design team specializes in creating efficient and innovative storage solutions tailored to your needs, ensuring that every cubic inch of your van is utilized effectively.

  • We use high-quality insulation products to ensure optimal temperature and noise control. This keeps your van comfortable and energy efficient in a variety of climates. 1/2" polyisocyanurate provides the highest r-value per inch. We use this with a radiant barrier to thermally break our finish floor from the metal body. Closed cell foam and radiant barrier is added to the walls and ceiling to reduce noise and thermal transmitance. Natural wool insulation fills the wall cavities furhter reducing noice and thermal transmittance while actively managing moisture, helping keep your van dry and free from mold, mildew and rust.

  • If you have your empty van already we can set up a date for you to drop it off at our shop. If you have purchased a van at a dealership it's possible to set up a date to have it delivered to our shop as well.

  • We work with Ecoflow to provide a powerful and easy to use lithium electrical system that can power air-conditioners and large appliances. Our power systems can charge via solar, alternator, and shore power. We can provide options for stereo systems, movie projector systems, and more. We are happy to discuss your power and entertainment needs to engineer a system that works best for you.
